Typical applications for Kanthal® A-1 are electrical heating elements in high-temperature furnaces for heat treatment, ceramics, glass, steel, and electronics industries.
Kanthal A1 is a resistance wire made of 20.5% Chromium and 5.8% Aluminum with an Iron balance.
Kanthal is more robust than Nichrome, so it is easier to work with. That makes it great for Rebuildable Drip Atomizers.
Kanthal has a thicker oxide layer when compared to Nichrome-80 wire, so it is slightly possible to cause hot spots when dry-firing your coil.
